The pairings and schedule for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 Semi-Finals are now confirmed following the successful conclusion of the Group Phase in Piraeus, Riga, San Juan, and Valencia

FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 Greece Semi-Finals

Both Semi-Finals will take place on Saturday, July 6, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

July 6

Greece v Slovenia – 17:30 Local Time (14:30 GMT)

Giannis against Luka in a win-or-go-home game? Sign us up! The hosts of the Piraeus OQT enter the Semi-Finals as the only undefeated team in the tournament, but Slovenia showed in the do-or-die clash with New Zealand that they have bounced back for good. It could be epic.

Dominican Republic v Croatia – 21:00 Local Time (18:00 GMT)

Croatia suffered a shock defeat to New Zealand in Group A but the way things turned out, it proved of no consequence and they topped the group standings. Dominican Republic might have finished second in Group B, behind Greece, but they’ve had the same days of rest as Croatia and they’re not intimidated by the Croat team’s size, as their 13 offensive boards per game demonstrate.

Brazil v Philippines – 15:30 Local Time (12:30 GMT)

Brazil were undone against Cameroon in their last group outing, so will head into this Semi-Finals game off the back of a loss. However, they will take huge heart from a nice comeback that almost saw them take victory.

It was a similar case for the Philippines who also lost narrowly after they launched a big comeback against Georgia. But Gilas Pilipinas were not to be denied a ticket to the Semi-Finals either and are now ready for what looks like a mouth-watering matchup.

Cameroon v Latvia -19:00 Local Time (17:00 GMT)

Cameroon will be looking to emulate Gilas Pilipinas in spoiling the party for the tournament favorites. They dug out a tremendous victory against Brazil last time out to make this historic step forward, but can they continue setting even more new landmark achievements?

There will be an incredible atmosphere on Saturday as host nation Latvia try to bounce back from their shock loss to the Philippines and get back on a winning track. Now just two victories away from making it to Paris 2024, the crowd will play a big part as the team looks to find a higher gear again.

Finland v Spain – 20:30 Local Time (18:30 GMT)
