Fenerbahce officially signs Onuralp Bitim
He will spend the 2024-2025 season on loan at Bayern Munich
Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team has announced the signing of Onuralp Bitim (born in 1999, 1.98 m, guard/forward), considered one of the top talents in Turkish basketball. Bitim has signed a contract that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2027-2028 season. As part of the agreement, he will spend the 2024-2025 season on loan at Bayern Munich, the German team competing in the EuroLeague.
Born on March 31, 1999, in Kadıköy, Bitim began his career with Pertevniyal, the feeder team for Anadolu Efes. After spending a year in the United States in 2015, he returned to Turkey to join Anadolu Efes in 2016 and made his first-team debut in the 2017-2018 season. He then played for Pınar Karşıyaka from 2019 to 2021.
Bitim’s career took a significant turn at Bursaspor, where he played from 2021 to 2023. With Bursaspor, he reached the EuroCup final in the 2021-2022 season and was named to the competition’s second-best team the following season. His impressive performances led him to the NBA, where he signed with the Chicago Bulls in 2023. During the 2023-2024 season, he played for both the Bulls and their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.
Internationally, Bitim has been a standout for Turkey’s youth national teams, winning bronze at the 2015 European U16 Championship and silver at the 2016 World U17 Championship. He is currently a member of the Turkish senior national team.
Known for his versatility at both the shooting guard and small forward positions, as well as his high energy and scoring ability, Bitim is expected to be a significant addition to Fenerbahçe Beko. The club wished him seasons full of success in the yellow and navy blue jersey following his loan spell at Bayern Munich.
