EuroLeague, Panathinaikos towards Final Four: the words of coach Ataman and Sloukas
Panathinaikos is set to play in the 2024 EuroLeague Final Four: these are the words of coach Ataman and Sloukas in the press conference.
After the press conference of Olympiacos, it was the turn of coach Ergin Ataman, accompanied by Kostas Sloukas, to hold the usual pregame press conference on the eve of the EuroLeague Final Four. These are the statements of the Panathinaikos representatives.
Ergin Ataman’s promise: “It was a great challenge to get this promise, I believe Panathinaikos is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the history of European basketball. I want our fans to enjoy the Final Four. I can promise that we will bring the seventh star to OAKA”.
On the challenge of playing Fenerbahce: “I think this is not a competition between national teams, but the biggest European and world competition. I am representing my country, but also a Greek team. I don’t think that’s important, the only important thing is to play a very tough semi-final. I don’t have any big emotions because I won the cup twice. I will try to win it again, but all my colleagues have the same goal”.
Kostas Sloukas on his first Final Four with Panathinaikos: “To have Olympiacos and Panathinaikos here is something incredible for Greek basketball. Last summer I made a very difficult decision for many reasons, I am happy that I made it. Motivation has always been with me throughout my career. If I don’t have it anymore, I will stop”.
Sloukas on Jasikevicius: “He is one of my idols. It was something incredible to watch, that Panathinaikos team was the best ever in the EuroLeague”.
