EuroLeague: Maccabi beats Asvel to keep playoff hopes alive
Maccabi Tel Aviv risked but won in the 30th round of the EuroLeague against Asvel Villeurbanne
In the 30th round of the EuroLeague, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv defeated Asvel Villeurbanne with a score of 98-90 at the end of a game in which the two offenses clearly prevailed over the defenses and was decided in the last quarter, when coach Kattash’s team posted a 32-21 break. With this victory, Maccabi keeps its playoff hopes alive, i.e. to grab the sixth place in the standings, currently occupied by Olympiacos, which has only one more win than the Israeli team.
Maccabi was led by an unstoppable Wade Baldwin IV, who finished with 30 points and 10 assists to go along with 5 rebounds. Colson’s 23 points and Josh Nebo’s 18 points and 10 rebounds followed.
De Colo’s 18 points, Fall’s 17 points and 12 rebounds and Paris Lee’s 17 points were not enough for Asvel.
