EuroLeague doesn’t intend to cancel the season
EuroLeague Basketball Chief Operating Officer Eduard Scott spoke with Serbian website Sports Klub about the future of EuroLeague and EuroCup seasons suspended at least till April 11 due to the coronavirus outbreak in Europe.
Scott said that the goal of EuroLeague Basketball is to finish both EuroLeague and EuroCup.
“We are facing a very fluid situation. We have new information not only daily but every hour. Our current plan is to hold the Euroleague Finals in Cologne at previously scheduled dates (May 22-24). However, if necessary, we will reopen this topic considering the development of the coronavirus situation in Europee, "Scott added," We are not currently considering canceling Euroleague competitions.
