Ettore Messina is leaning towards accepting the role as president and coach of AX Armani Exchange Milano, a source told Sportando.
Messina has been offered a multi-year by Milano ownership in the meeting he had along with his agent Igor Crespo last week in the Italian city.
Milano wants Messina to run basketball operations and be the head coach and made a rich offer trying to convince him to leave the San Antonio Spurs to return to Serie A.
Messina had several interviews to become head coach in the NBA over the past few years but he never had the chance to lead an NBA franchise.

With the arrival of Messina, Milano will also hire a new General Manager. There are rumors about Spurs scout Claudio Crippa but, as of now, sources close to him denied that he may join Milano.
