France beat Turkey 86-87 after one overtime to advance to FIBA Eurobasket quarterfinals

France beat Turkey 86-87 after one overtime to advance to FIBA Eurobasket quarterfinals.

But Turkey was up by 2 with 12 seconds less and with two free throws plus possession following a Luwawu-Cabarrot unsportsmanlike foul on Cedi Osman.

Osman failed both free throws and on the next possessions Turkey committed a turnover.

France tied the game with a outback dunk made by Gobert and won at the overtime 87-86.

Furkan Korkmaz had the ball to win the game but he made a turnover.

After the game coach Ergin Ataman was devastated by the loss.

“This is the maybe the worst emotional loss of 26 years of coaching career” Ataman said before congratulating France for the win wishing them to advance in the tournament.
