Tournament will be played in Rio de Janeiro from April 6

The BCL Americas confirmed today that the location for the 2021-22 BCL Americas Final 8 will be Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Final 8 will be played at the historic Maracanazinho stadium which has a capacity of 11,800 seats and is home to last year’s champion and current participating finalist Flamengo.

São Paulo, Minas, Bigua, Boca Juniors, Cangrejeros, Quimsa, Real Estelí, and host Flamengo have earned their spot into the Final 8 by finishing 1st or 2nd in their respective group during the preliminary phase that tipped-off in December 2021.

These eight clubs will now compete in a single-elimination phase starting with the quarterfinals on April 6th, semifinals on April 7th, and culminating with the 3rd place and Championship game on April 9th. Fans can enjoy Final 8 games on ESPN (Brazil), DirecTV (Latin America) and the BCL Americas YouTube channel in Spanish, and the FIBA YouTube channel in English.

Flamengo, the 2021-22 BCL Americas Champion and the current FIBA Intercontinental Champion will have an opportunity to play in front of their fans in their journey to become first BCL Americas back-to-back Champion.
