Delfino replies to Torino vice president: I hope they will leave soon

Carlos Delfino replied to Fiat Torino vicepresident Francesco Forni’s accusation.

Forni said that Fiat Torino will cut Delfino after the Argentinean almost assaulted him after the home loss against Sidigas Avellino.

This is what Carlos Delfino told Sportando.

“I have played for almost 20 years. I have never had problems with anyone. My presentation card has been more my person than me as a player.

This kid broke into the locker room, a place that is not for everyone after a game. And started saying things out of place, pointing an accusing finger at some of my teammates. This thing has bothered me and I have replied to him. It must be said that I was not the only one to yell at him.

And I add that there was no physical confrontation. Are we kidding?

I would do again what I did. I will always defend my teammates before the world. Teammates are my brothers. I will never accept someone that tries to divide the locker room.

I do not depend on the salary of this family (Forni, the owners of the team) to live, I do not let myself be treated in this way, as this family is used to do. I would do what I did again for the people that made feel at home in Torino during the past two months.

Unfortunately these people are in the basketball world. I hope they will leave soon, as it is said (there are some rumors about a company interested in buying the team). They are ruining a beautiful sport and a lot of people that live out of basketball.  They think they can treat anyone like slaves. If they want, we can be on the court, me, him, Francesco Forni’s mother, his father and see who Torino fans want to stay here.

In did more in Torino in two months than them in two years.

I repeat, my presentation card has always been my person first. And I would do again what I did to defend my teammates, my coach or those who want to divide a team”.
