CSKA took part in Euroleague A-licensed teams vote to cancel games vs Russian sides
Russian side took part in the 7-6 vote despite the team being suspended from the competition
A majority of Euroleague A-licensed teams voted yesterday to cancel all games against Russian teams from the 2021/22 standings should the three teams be finally banned from the competition – as widely expected – on March 21st. As confirmed by Fenerbahce’s press release, the vote saw a slim majority of 7 votes to 6 in favor of canceling those games from the standings.
13 teams voting means that CSKA has regularly taken part in the voting process – as confirmed to Sportando – despite the team is among the currently suspended from the competition. It is unknown whether CSKA voted in favor or against the decision.
