CSKA Moscow has decided to file an injunction against the Euroleague for its exclusion from the organization of the 2022-23 season. The verdict is expected in a few days at the Luxembourg court and now everyone is anxiously waiting to see what will happen.

CSKA is one of the 11 team-shareholders of the competition with guaranteed contracts in the Euroleague.

“It certainly worries us that we are not participating in the EuroLeague, but we will not cry. I see next year as an opportunity for young players,” CSKA Moscow president Andrei Vatutin explained to RIA news agency in June.

Last March, after the expulsion of CSKA Moscow from the Euroleague due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he emphasized: “our lawyers will decide how we will act”.
