Vince Collet said that he would love to coach abroad in the future.
The head coach of France’s National Team and SIG Strasbourg had chances in the past with Olympiacos and Hapoel Jerusalem but he never left the team.
“I want to coach at the highest level and I am patiently waiting. After the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain, I surely made a mistake when Olympiacos offered me a contract during the season. But at that time I did not want to leave the team and the players. But it is something I would love to do” the coach told Israel Hayom.
Collet had also a chance to coach Hapoel Jerusalem in 2016 but the negotiations fell apart.
“I wanted to join Hapoel. It was an interesting opportunity for me. But I wanted to bring with me my assistant coach Pierre Tavano and we did not agreed on the deal with the manager of the club”.
