Campazzo’s former agent Giorgos Panou admits: Panathinaikos’ offer was the biggest ever

Facundo Campazzo’s former agent, Giorgos Panou, revealed to the microphones of Amerikanos24 that Panathinaikos made Campazzo the biggest offer in the history of European basketball in 2023. Here are his comments on the negotiations.

Panou’s words: “There was a misunderstanding with Facundo, who received the biggest offer in the history of European basketball from Panathinaikos and did not accept it. He was offered 12 million dollars for three years, but he preferred to go to Real Madrid for a third of that because he wanted to play there. In the end, we parted ways because he thought we were pushing him to go somewhere he didn’t want to go because he didn’t believe in the Panathinaikos project. But our job was to make the best possible offer. He preferred to play for Real Madrid, but I have to say that seeing Panathinaikos win the EuroLeague against Real gave me extra satisfaction because it meant that the Pana project had succeeded. Maybe Facundo has realised that next time he should listen to his agent a little more…”.
