Jimmy Butler is expected to opt out of his final year of the contract worth $19.8 million to test free agency.
Butler will become unrestricted free agent and will be eligible to sign a five-year, $181 million with the Philadelphia 76ers or a four-year, $141 million somewhere else.
Per Philly.com, “Technically I think, knock on wood, I will get a max contract anywhere I choose to go,” Butler said. “So if you are talking a four-year, five-year, that is more than enough money anyway. I think I still have more than enough money now from my first deal.”
