Butler on his upcoming free agency: I think I will get a max contract anywhere I choose to go

Butler is expected to opt out of his contract to become free agent

Jimmy Butler is expected to opt out of his final year of the contract worth $19.8 million to test free agency.

Butler will become unrestricted free agent and will be eligible to sign a five-year, $181 million with the Philadelphia 76ers or a four-year, $141 million somewhere else.

Per Philly.com, “Technically I think, knock on wood, I will get a max contract anywhere I choose to go,” Butler said. “So if you are talking a four-year, five-year, that is more than enough money anyway. I think I still have more than enough money now from my first deal.”
