Bayern coach Trinchieri sends youngster Rudan to locker room in middle of game, after explains why
Trinchieri’s lesson for Rudan
During the BBL game between Bayern and Brose Bamberg, Andrea Trinchieri sent his youngster Matej Rudan (2001) to the locker room in the middle of the game.
After the match, the Italian coach explained his decision.
"Next time I will send him to the highway. We have young payers. Sasha Grant played hard and unbelievable plus/minus even if he did not score a point. First thing when you are a young and talented player you have to know what it tastes to become a pro. Sasha and Jason are working hard and trying to earn every minute on the court and respect from teammates. Matej did not understand that. If I would not react to his bad attitude I would not be a good coach. I will not help him. Young players need a guide. But I did not see in my 25 years of career a young player being successful staying in his comfort zone" Trinchieri said.
