AS Monaco fined €18,500 by LNB for preseason violations

AS Monaco has been fined €18,500 by the LNB for fielding unauthorized players during preseason games

AS Monaco has been fined €18,500 by the LNB for fielding unauthorized players during preseason games. The club, which had already been penalized with a €20,000 fine and a loss of one victory due to transparency issues in Mike James’ contract, violated regulations related to player registration for friendly matches.

According to the LNB, Monaco used several players without the required contracts and licenses during their preseason tour in Spain. The club’s lawyer, Xavier Le Cerf-Galle, explained that the delay in submitting the necessary documents was due to a health issue of the responsible staff member. Despite this, the club has accepted the sanction and will not appeal the decision.
