Aquila Trento fought to the end but it was the Wolves Vilnius who had the last laugh
Wolves Vilnius triumph over Aquila Trento in the EuroCup Round 8 final: Lamb misses the three pointer.
Aquila Trento stayed in the game until the end and even took a 19-30 lead at halftime thanks to an excellent second period partial. However, the Dolomiti Energia couldn’t hold on for the win as Anthony Lamb’s three-pointer to level the score fell short and Wolves Vilnius won 88-83. Although Trento were unable to limit their opponents’ offensive output, they did a good job of staying in the game and withstanding the Wolves Vilnius’ onslaught in the second half: they were never down for good, always ready to get back up and stay in the game until the very end. With this defeat, Trento drops to 3-5 in EuroCup Group A, while Vilnius improves to 5-3.
Wolves Vilnius were led by Andrew Andrews’ 23 points, Tre’Shawn Thurman’s 18 points and eight rebounds, Blazevic’s 14 points and Jeffery Taylor’s double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Aquila Trento got 21 points from Zukauskas, 17 from Ford and 14 from Ellis.
