AEK Athens beat Flamengo in Final to win FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Theodore named MVP

 Jordan Theodore was named the tournament's MVP after leading the way in the Final, finishing with 22 points, 5 assists and 3 steals

AEK on Sunday won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup after beating Flamengo in the Final at Carioca 1 Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Under the watchful eye of FIBA President Mr. Horacio Muratore, FIBA COO and Basketball Champions League Chairman Mr. Markus Studer, Basketball Champions League CEO Mr. Patrick Comninos and FIBA Americas Executive Director Mr. Carlos Alves, AEK registered a 86-70 win over Flamengo to take the top honors.

The team from Greece  celebrated by holding the trophy aloft on the top step of the podium.

Jordan Theodore was named the tournament’s MVP after leading the way in the Final, finishing with 22 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

The guard averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 assists over the tournament.
