Adam Silver says that season will be suspended again only under a ‘significant spread’ scenario
NBA commissioner has talked with the media after the announcement that the season will be resumed.
Adam Silver went on the record in a conference call on Friday that the NBA will not suspend its season if a player tests positive for COVID-19, no matter the player.
Silver said the league is discussing with health officials and the players what would happen in an instance of “significant spread” but that “that line hasn’t been set yet.”
The NBA will tests players and staff on a daily basis. “My ultimate conclusion is we can’t outrun the virus, and we are going to be living with this for the foreseeable future,” said Silver.
