ACB considering to finish the season in one city on Canary Islands

The competition format would be a 16-team playoff without Estudiantes and Fuenlabrada

ACB is exploring the possibility to end this season.

As reported by José Hignacio Huguet on Mundo Deportivo Liga Endesa is exploring the feasibility of holding its entire playoffs in the Canary Islands (La Laguna, Las Palmas and La Palma) or in Tenerife (La Laguna and Quico Cabrera de Santa Cruz).

The Canary Islands have the lowest Covid-19 infection rate in Spain, with less than 2.000 infected people.

The competition format would be a 16-team playoff without Estudiantes and Fuenlabrada (who would still remain in ACB the next season) with closed-door games and full TV coverage from Movistar.

The decision could arrive at the Acb meeting on April 20.
