ACB: Barcelona easy win on Granada, Baskonia loses to Tenerife
Liga ACB begins, the results of the first round include Barcelona’s easy win on Granada and Baskonia’s away loss against Tenerife.
The 2024/25 Liga ACB season has begun, with Barcelona and Baskonia on the court today. In the first round, Barcelona defeated Granada 91-65 at home, led by newcomer Chimezie Metu with 17 points, followed by Joel Parra with 16. Dario Brizuela (gastroenteritis) and Dame Sarr (adductor) were held out. While Barcelona came out on top, Baskonia had a harder time on the road, losing 88-80 to Tenerife.
Chima Moneke was the top scorer for the Basques with 20 points, followed by Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot with 18, while captain Tadas Sedekersis put up 12. For Tenerife, Bruno Fitipaldo came close to a double-double with 16 points and 9 assists.
