Masiulis led Lietkabelis to an 80-73 win over visiting Telenet Giants Antwerp by scoring 26 points on 5-for-9 two-point and 3-for-5 three-point shooting

With his team in major need of a victory, Lietkabelis Panevezys big man Gytis Masiulis came up with a huge Round 4 performance that has earned him the MVP of the Week award. Masiulis led Lietkabelis to an 80-73 win over visiting Telenet Giants Antwerp by scoring 26 points on 5-for-9 two-point and 3-for-5 three-point shooting. The 22-year old rookie center also pulled down 10 reboundst to go with 2 assists, 2 blocks, a steal and 7 fouls drawn for a performances index rating 38, the highest in the EuroCup this season and a club record for Lietkabelis. Virtus Segafredo Bologna point guard Milos Teodosic had this week’s second best PIR, 32, in a victory over AS Monaco that kept Virtus undefeated. Teodosic had 14 points and a EuroCup career-high 12 assists along with 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 7 fouls drawn. The next-best performance in Round 4 belonged to Erick Green of Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul, who had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 8 fouls drawn for a PIR 30 in a home loss against Partizan NIS Belgrade. In that same game, Partizan playmaker Codi Miller-McIntyre had an index rating of 28, finishing the game with 22 points, 7 assists and 2 steals. Also with a PIR of 28 this week was veteran Ante Tomic of undefeated Joventut Badalona, who collected 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in a victory over Umana Reyer Venice.


Individual highs: Stephaun Branch, Antwerp, 5 steals

Masiulis led all scorers in Round 4 with 26 points. Jamar Smith of UNICS Kazan remains the overall scoring leader with 21.0 points per game. Kenny Gabriel of Mornar Bar and Kevin Hervey of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar were this week’s top rebounders with 12 apiece. Lokomotiv’s Alan Williams is the season leader, averaging 11.5 rebounds. Teodosic’s 12 assists were the most in Round 4. Buducnost VOLI Podgorica playmaker Justin Cobbs leads for the season with an average of 8.7 assists. Antwerp’s Stephaun Branch had 5 steals, more than any player this week. Miller-McIntyre tops the steals charts with 3.5 on average. Another Antwerp player, big man Ibrahima Faye, led all players in Round 4 with 3 blocked shots. Faye is the overall leader, too, with 2.5 blocks per game.
