12 teams reportedly front-runner to obtain a Eurocup 3-year licence

Under new reform, Eurocup could award up to 16 3-year licenses

According to BeBasket, 12 teams are considerable front-runners to obtain one of (up to 16) new Eurocup 3-year licenses. The teams are:



3 from Spain (Valencia, Malaga, Joventut)
3 from Italy (Virtus Bologna, Venezia, Trento)
2 from ABA (Partizan, Cedevita)
1 from France (Metropolitans)
1 from Germany (Ulm)
1 from Greece (Promitheas)
1 from Russia (Lokomotiv Kuban)

Under the new reform, Eurocup expects to award up to 16 3-year licenses for the seasons 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, with the remaining 4 spots to be awarded on an annual base.
